River Delays Party

(NZ Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 15. A party of three Wellington scouts, all aged 14, reported lost in wild bush country in thf Orongorongos. near Wellington. met a Search and Rescue Organisation reconnaissance group on the regular track near Wainui-o-mata late today. Although 24 hours overdue, the three boys were never in danger, and were held up when the Orongorongo river rose suddenly yesterday afternoon. They could not cross the river, but spent a comfortable night in a nearby hut. Today, with the river fallen to a safe level, they were able to make their way out to Wainui-o-mata. The boys. Michael Tabley. Ray Gilchrist, and Luke Campbell, went into the area; on Fridav. intending to come; out at Wainui-o-mata about 4 p.m. yesterday.
