FINE AND DANDY
Easy Win At Randwick
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY. May 14. The New Zealand sprinter, Fountainhead, an early favourite for the rich Stradbroke Handicap, finished fifth in a good field in the Flying Handicap at Randwick yesterday. Fine and Dandy won and became clear outright favourite for the Stradbroke. He beat Sealkeeper by a length and a quarter, with Grecian Vale a length and three-quarters farther away. The heavily-backed Martello Towers was fourth. Fine and Dandy probably will have another race before he is sent to Brisbane. He sweated freely after he was unsaddled. Fine and Dandy has not raced since April 1, when he cleared away to win the Doncaster Handicap (one mile) from Friar's Peak and Skyhigh. In that race Fine and Dandy was sent to the lead and finished in great style to stall off all challengers.
