Detail, a moderate performer for Mr H. D. Greenwood, will do his future racing for Mr B. F. Mears, who has had a successful season with Quick Time. Detail, a four-year-old Defaulter gelding, will do no more racing this season, and may also be off the scene for the whole of next season. In the meantime he will be a farm hack on Mr Mears's Mid-Canterbury property. Injured in Fail. — Lacerations to the head were suffered by Frederick Cumberbeach, of the Provincial Hotel, when he fell on the footpath at the corner of Hagley and Moorhouse avenues on Saturday. He was treated at the casualty department of the Christchurch Hospital and discharged.
