POLL DORSET SHEEP
Seven Arrive From Australia
Mr W. L. Walsh, of the Highfield Poll Dorset stud. Fairhall, Blenheim, has imported one stud Poll Dorset ram from Mr G. R. H. Smith. Cudal, New South Wales, and six stud Poll Dorset shearing ewes from Mr R H. Wilson, of Kismet. Howlong. New South Wales. The ewes have been mated and are due to lamb soon. Mr Waish reports that the sheep arrived on his property in good order in spite of a rough crossing in the Wanganella. The importation was handled by the stud stock department of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury. Ltd., which has previously handled for Mr Walsh Importations of Dorset Horns and In 1959 ore stud ram and six stud ewes from the Kisme' stud—the first Poll Dorset? imported into the South I Island.
