Church Broadcasts

Sir.—“Fair to All” states that “all groups have a right to a broadcast of their own choice." However, this remark embraces several ehurch organisations which are excluded from broadcast privileges, e g, the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, with its magnificent musical background. As already pointed out, the new Sunday evening arrangements apply to only four occasions in one year (possibly five in a leap year) and eliminate much atrocious choral work Last Sunday night (May 7) an Auckland church broadcast commenced with Handel’s “Dead March in Saul.” What a travesty!—Yours, etc, W H. WARREN. Hokitika, May 11, 1961.
