"The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL, May 12. Vamoose, runner-up to Desert Chief in the Riverton Cup and an easy winner at the Cattle Flat Club’s non-totaltsator meeting a fortnight ago, looks a bright prospect in a seven-horse field in the Awarua Handicap, main event and first leg of the T A.B double on the opening day of the Southland Racing Club’s winter meeting tomorrow.
