Halswell Service Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Halswell residents will be able to clear their backyards of rubbish which is not accepted by collectors on the weekly rounds. A tip truck - has been hired and Halswell County Council employees will gather whatever rubbish Is left, provided It is not too heavy for two men to lift

"There appears to be a good demand for the service, and if enough persons take advantage of it the collection will be made annually,” said the County Clerk (Mrs R. M Ballin tine). Residents in the Halswell township have been asked to place the rubbish at their gateways by 8 a.m. There will be a similar clean-up in the Tai Tapu township on May 20.
