Brazil Stands By Castro

President Janio Quadros's Brazilian Government has declared that it will recognise no Latin American Government which is "clearly the result of foreign interference.”

A Foreign Office statement read in the Brazilian Congress yesterday said Brazil would not support any “measure for continental integrity" which involved intervention in any WesternHemisphere nation. The statement effectively reaffirmed President Quadros’s backing for Dr. Fidel Castro against any attempt by the United States or the Organisation of American States to unseat Dr. Castro's regime in Cuba, United Press International said.
