Search for Lost Manuscripts.—Dr Carleton Smith President of the National Arts Foundation in the United States, has sent a message to Mr Khrushchev, seeking his help in discovering some valuable musical manuscripts lost during World War H. The documents, including works by Beethoven. Mozart, Brahms and Bach, are thought to have been “removed" by soldiers from the Benedictine Monastery of Grusson in Silesia, where they were kept—Reuters.
