Rat Chiba.—Private citizens of Mandalay have formed “rat destruction clubs” to meet the menace of rats which seem to have increased in number despite the rat extermination campaign launched by the city’s municipality. So far there are three clubs One of them met recently for the first of its winter season “count nights.” A male member emptied his grey paper bag on the table—and there were 2S rats’ tails.
