“Capping Mag”

Sir,—What a pity the students cannot produce a hearty, helpful lot of jokes, which would amuse the whole family. Illicit sex would be much better left out Publish something that will make people proud of the Canterbury University. Last year’s “mag” was a sordid thing. We were (in it) advised to consign it to the fire after reading. This year's is little, if any. better. One wonders if it would be better advice to drop it on the fire before reading.—Yours, etc., FRED. T. MILES. Ashburton, April 28. 1961.
