Capping Day Appeal

Sir,—l wonder whether the traffic department this year is going to turn the blind eye again to what I consider a very dangerous practice. Students who collect from factories on Capping Day are put on open-decked trucks, regardless of number. One day one of those legs dangling over the side will get caught in a wheel—a serious accident could result Is there no limit to the number allowed on the back of such an open truck?— Yours, etc, MOTHER AND EXSTUDENT. April 28, 1961.
