Couple Lose All Their Possessions (N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI. April 25 A recently-married couple lost all their possessions when fire raced through their home in the Upper Victoria Valley, near Kai tala, on Monday night. Mr and Mrs K. P. Kitchen, who were married in Kamo in January, were living in an old wooden six-roomed family home. They woke to find fire breaking through the wall of their bedroom. Mrs Kitchen ran a quarter of a mile to give the alarm from the home of a cousin. Mr Hilton Kitchen. There was no insurance on the .contents of the house. Mrs Kitchen set her personal loss at at least £lOOO.
