TAP-DANCING IN HAMPSTEAD HALL
Results Of Recent Competitions Organised by the Ashburton Parent-Teachers' Tap-Dancing k -mmittee, tap-dancing competitions were held In the Hampstead Hall on Friday and Saturday. Results of the competition* are:— ( Morriss Challenge Cup, Patricia Jackson and Tony Crowther; Frances Dynes Challenge Cup, Tony Crowther; Campbell Challenge Cup, Jillian Bennett and June Williamson; Ina Ward Challenge Cup, Patricia Jackson; Gary Cluca* Challenge Cup, Jill Armitage; Local Challenge Cup: under eight years, June Williamson: eight and under 10 years, Patricia Jackson; 10 anc under 12, Tony Crowther; 12 and under 14 Gloria Douglas and Annette Hortin. Clayton Memorial Cup, Jillian Bennett; gold medal for most promising boy under 13 year*, not a first prize winner, Gary Clucas; gold medal for local competitor with most points in novice under 10 year*, and tapdance eight years and under 10, Lisa Prattley; gold medal for local competitor with most points in song and dance under 12 years, Tony Crowther; dance and duo, open, Patricia Jackson and Tony Crowther; song and dance under eight years, Jillian Bennett 1.
