No Swabbing At Forbury

No horses were swabbed on the final day of the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s winter meeting on Saturday. Quo Vadis was swabbed after winning on the first day of the meeting. The New Zealand Trotting

has not decided to drop swabbing, but there has been little routine swabbing in recent weeks. Instead of two horses being swabbed at most meetings-—as was the case earlier in the season—there has been only one horse dealt with each day.

In the North Island there was only one horse swabbed at the Manawatu club’s three-day meeting, while none were swabbed during the three days at Hawera.

Conference officials have declined to give the reason for the failure to carry on with routine swabbing.
