Tin Hat Club
Sir, —With reference to your report in today’s issue of proceedings at the special general meeting of the Tin Hat Club. I wish to state that, on moving the motion to limit the term of presidency, it was made clear to the meeting that the moving was purely a formality and that I would vote in accordance with my views following the discussion. I did not sign, in fact I refused to sign, the petition calling for the special meeting. As far as I am concerned personalities do not enter into it, as, in my view, as long as a man is performing his duties satisfactorily he should remain in office.—Yours, etc..
GEORGE EASTERBROOK. May 1, 1957.
