University Site

Sir, —I was glad to see another letter this morning against moving our college to Ham. Some years ago the Ross section in Montreal street was bought to build on for the increasing needs of the college. Why was that not carried out instead of letting that section go to become a play field for the Girls’ High School and dismiss the college to Ham. Our college is something to be proud of in our citv, and a good deal of help could have been given in rooms for increasing students. Keep it here, in Christchurch. and let Ham go. For part-time students Ham would be a nuisance for its distance from the city. Keep us a university city.—YourS. etc., GERALDINE. May 2, 1957.
