MEN’S INDOOR BASKETBALL
The grading trials on Monday evening, for the 1957 men’s indoor basketball season did not produce any good games. The play was a little rough, and little true form was shown by any of the teams. There were, however, some indications that games later in the season will produce some good basketball. Top scorers were Greene, who scored 17 of Teachers' College’s 27 points against Taxes, Turnball (Rangiora), who scored 17. and his team-mate. Davidson, who scored 14 points. Results were;—Teachers’ College 27, Taxes 19: Rangiora A 38, Rex B 5; B.G.H. 22, Y Boys 10; University B 29, Rebels 6; Rex C 29. Burns Co. 6; B.G.H. C won by default from Stars A.
