Kennel Club Officers
The Canterbury Kennel Club elected Messrs E. A. Hopkins, J. Smith, and W. A. White to honorary life membership of the club at the annual meeting. Officers elected were: president. Mr C. E. Hale; vice-president, Mr E. A. Hopkins; secretary-treasurer, Mrs N. M. Anderson; committee, Mrs A. Ashton, Messrs J. L. Anderson, D. Brown, S. W. Cox, F. A. Gleeson, T. Hamilton, L. D. Hayward, R. M. Morten. S. F. C. Wiffin, and F. H. West.
Hume Industries scholarships of an annual value of £125, one for a second-year student and one for a third or fourth-year student proceeding to the degree of bachelor of engineering, are covered by regulations approved by the Canterbury University College Council. For this year an interim bursary of £lOO has been granted by the company and awarded to Mr G. D. Ding.
