The Canterbury Basketball Association’s annual lower grade tournament was played at South Hagley Park on Saturday. Results:— Third Grade Section 1: Irwell A beat West Old Girls F. Section 2: Leeston A beat Papanui High School. Section 3: Money Order S.B. beat C.U.C. B. Section 4: Edgew’are beat Southbridge B. Section 5: Zipps B won by default. Section 6: Dray ton-Jones beat Cathedral. Semi-finals.—Zipps 7, Irwell 6: Irwell 7. Leeston A 6; Zipps 5. Money Order S.B. 1; Edgeware 3, DraytonJones 2. Final.—Zipps 9. Edgeware 2. Fourth Grade Section 1: Technical E beat Greenpark B. Section 2: Sacred Heart G beat Gaylands. Section 3: Woolston beat Waikari. Section 4: Technical G beat Hollanders.
