Obituary LADY ELLIS
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 28. The death occurred suddenly at her home at Herne Bay today, of Lady Ellis, widow of Sir Albert Ellis, the discoverer of phosphate deposits at Ocean and Nauru islands. She was 79. Lady Ellis was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Andrew Stewart, of Auckland, and lived her entire life in the home where her death occurred. She was a prominent church and social worker and was particularly interested in mission work both in New Zealand and overseas.
She is survived by one daughter. Mrs G. R. Milne, of Wellington.
