ANZAC DAY SERVICES

Ministers To Take Part (From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, April 23. Cabinet Ministers will scatter the length of the country tomorrow to attend Anzac Day services The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) will fly to Dunedin to attend <he Dawn Parade and the citizens’ service. Ceremonies in Wellington will be attended by the PostmasterGeneral (Mr T. P. Shand), who will be the Government's official representative at the Dawn Parade and the afternoon service, and by other Ministers who have no special engagements. The Minister of Defence (Mr T. L. Macdonald) will attend morning services at Waikanae and Reikorangi before coming into Wellington for the afternooh service. The Attorney-General (Mr J. R. Marshall) will be the Government’s representative at the main service in Christchhrch. The Minister of Labour (Mr J. K. McAlpine) will also attend the dawn parade there and later in the morning will speak at the service arranged by the Paparua subbranch of the Returned Services' Association. In Auckland, the official Government representative will be the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr E. H. Halstead). The Minister of Police (Mr D. J. Eyre) will also attend the Dawn Parade there, and he will address a gathering of the Takapuna and District Returned Services’ Association later in the morning. Other Ministers who will be travelling the country are the Minister of Health (Mr J. R. Hanan), who will go to Invercargill, the Minister of Lands (Mr E. B< Corbett), who will go to Okato, in Taranaki, and the Minister for the Welfare of Women and Children (Dame Hilda Ross), who will attend the Dawn Parade and the citizens’ service in Hamilton.

The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nash) will attend a number of services and gatherings in Wellington and the Hutt Valley. In London, the Deputy-Prime Minister (Mr K. J. Holyoake) will attend the annual ceremony arranged by the New Zealand and Australian High Commissioners at the Cenotaph.
