The House of Representatives todayapproved a federation of the British West Indies on the lines proposed at the London conference on the federation, of April, last year. Mr William Bustamante, Jamaica’s chfef Minister, said: “We will not allow British Guiana and British Honduras to be obstacles to the federation of the British Caribbean. We must federate —and we hope to have them with us one day.’’ The London ’ conference decided to establish a federation consisting of Barbados, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands and their dependencies.
