CATS AND INFLUENZA

Sir, —Could any of your readers tell me if a cat can be inoculated against influenza? We have lost several good, strong, healthy cats in a matter of hours with this dreaded complaint. At present we have one dearly loved house cat; and I have heard that several cats in our district have recently died of influenza. If it is possible to avoid this in any way, would some reader let me know? Ours is only a tabby, but we all love him, and I am sure we could not replace him.— Yours, etc., CAT LOVER. July 8, 1954.
