CANTERBURY PILGRIMS’ ASSOCIATION
JUNIOR BRANCH FORMED Through the enthusiasm and initiative of a group of young persons and with the approval of the parent body, a junior branch of the Canterbury Pilgrims’ and Early Settlers’ Association has been formed in Christchurch. The prime movers are for the most part, children of members of the association or the descendants of pioneer settlers, who in time, intend to graduate to membership of the association and so continue the traditions of the older generation. The interim committee of the group comprises Robyn/Hewland (convener), Jennifer Reynolds, Rachel Mac Gibbon, Jan Falck, Lois McElwee, John Rich, John Watson, and J. Lang. * At the first gathering of members to be hfeld at Christ’s College on July 11, a permanent committee will be elected, and after the business meeting, films will be screened.
