* The Press " Special Service AUCKLAND, June 28. It is certain that the track at Te Rapa will be heavy for the Waikato Racing Club’s winter hack meeting to-morrow. However, the fields are good and there should be some very interesting racing. Scratchings posted to-day were:—City Steeplechase, Toronto; Victoria Hurdles, Amber Duke. The betting will be under the win and place system, and horses likely to find favour include:— 11 a.m.—City Steeplechase: Bronze Night, Mokonui, Tanga Ta Pai. 11.50 a.m.—Waikato Plate: Esmcmde, Oemo, Embassy. 12.35 p.m.—Victoria Hurdles: Kilcommon, Betty Baffles, Peria Prince. 1.25 p.m.—Manning Hack Cup: Brockton, Valley Trail, Flying Jim. 2.15 p.m.—Waikato Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase: Night Prince, Tideover, Dumbo. 3.5 p.m.—First Farewell Hack Handicap; Iwo Jima, Trustful, Flying Duke. 3.50 p.m.—Te Rapa Hack Hurdles: Waiting, Monte Cristo, Irish Fox. 4.40 p.m.—Second Farewell Hack Handicap: Duncan, Our Dave, Horonui.
