Steady rain fell all day at Hastings today, and the going will be soft for the concluding day of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s winter meeting to-morrow. Brackets on the card are:—Pakowhai Hurdles: Battle Chief and Sandy Cape. Hastings Trial Handicap: Gold Watch and Baby Fox: Loquendi and Nanaaki; Fighting Nell and Heretic: Becalm and Endless; Count Bian and Fleetwood; Flying Pigeon and Carter Fell; Calm Sea and Haverer; Sakuntala and Scottish Maid. President's Handicap: French Count and Silver Rod; Cinna Bay and Carnforth; Burma and United Nations; Dark Morning and Montosorrie; Paganini and Charles Edward. Final Handicap: Komo and Sir Warrior; Ulatis and Highland View.
