LYTTELTON NEWS

POST OFFICE HOURS Beginning next week the Lyttelton Post Office will close on Saturdays but will be open in all departments on Fridays from 7 till 8 p.m. Postmen’s delivery will be made as usual on Saturday mornings and an outward mail will be dispatched at a time yet to be fixed.

Personal Mr L. W. Merrifield, who has been a member of the staff of the Lyttelton Post Office for 12 years, has resigned to take up another position in Lyttelton. Recently he was met by fellow members of tie staff and presented with a wallet, the presentation being made by the postmaster, Mr C. W. Carmody.
