COMPANY NEWS Wellington Investment.—The directors of the Wellington Trust, Loan, and Investment Company, Ltd., have declared an interim dividend at the rate of Is 6d for each £5 paid up share.—(P.A.) Zinc Corporation.—Directors of Zinc Corporation, Ltd., recommend a final dividend of ls,6d (sterling) a share for 1945, making a total distribution of 2s 6d. The directors have declared dividends of 22 per cent, sterling on both the 5J per cent., cumulative preference stock, and 5J per cent, cumulative redeemable preference stock, being the first half of such dividends for 1946.—(P.A.) Korma Textiles.—About £1,000,000 was offered for the issue of 125,000 5 per cent, preference shares of £1 each by Korma Textiles (N.Z.), Ltd., Auckland, by noon yesterday, when the lists were closed, after being open for two hours. An announcement of the method of allocating the shares will be made shortly.—(P.S.S.) MINING Grey River—ln the clean-up period from June 5 to 19, 160,983 cubic yards were excavated for 181.65 crude ounces of gold 'in a total digging time of 238 hours. Blackwater Mines.—The Blackwater Mines return for the four-weekly period ended June 14 was 489 fine ounces of gold from all sources, in the course of which a total of 1443 tons of ore was

crushed. Reporting on development work carried out during the period, it was stated that No. 15 level rise at 1155 N. was advanced 23 feet on reef averaging 15.49dwt over a .width of 42in. No. 16 level drive south was advanced 12 feet on reef averaging 9.4Bdwt over a width of 21 inches.

Snowy River.—The return was 114 oz in 259 hours from 49,000 yards.

Blackball Creek.—Thirty-six ounces were recovered in 210 hours.—(P.A.)

Associated Gold Dredges (N.Z.), Ltd.— For the week ended June 22, the company’s dredges recovered 1701 oz from 87,066 yards in 3481 dredging'hours.
