WOMAN’S DEATH AT NELSON

SCOPE OF INQUIRY WIDENED (P.A.) NELSON. June 24.

Four days of investigation into the suspected murder of a young woman, Rangi Tai Omiti, at the Queen's Gardens late last Thursday night or early on Friday morning have not yet yielded any positive result to the police.

To-night’s report was that there had been no further developments, but that the scope of the inquiry had been widened to include more distant country areas. Many persons have been interrogated, but the pile of statements already obtained apparently leaves only loose ends.
