(P.A.. AUCKLAND, June 23. ; The Auckland Trotting Club concluded the 1945-46 season in the North Island with its extra meeting on Saturday. The weather was boisterous, rain falling dur- J ing the last race. The attendance was 4 good and the track was heavy. The totalisator handled £99,26'1. ■ J. P. Baker, the driver of Dan’s Tri- J umph in the Second Oneroa Handicap, was fined £5 for allowing the assistant * starter to hold the horse’s head until the 1 tapes were released.
