HOSPITAL RATING
LOCAL BODIES TO MEET MINISTERS (P.A.) PALMERSTON N„ June 19. A deputation comprising delegates from the Municipal Association of New Zealand and the New Zealand counties’ Association and other interested bodies will meet the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) and the Minister of Health (the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer) in Wellington, on June 21, to discuss the system of hospital rating. Information to this effect has been received by the Mayor of Palmerston North (Mr A. E. Mansford). The Municipal Association of New Zealand joined with the New Zealand Counties’ Association in an appeal to the Prime Minister on. April 18 foi a conference. In the meantime, many councils have expressed concern at the delay by the Prime Minister in receiving a deputation, and have postponed striking a hospital rate until the Government’s view on the subject is announced.
