Magistrate’s Court.—ln the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr G. G. Chisholm, S.M., George Quirk, aged 34, a seaman, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with hard labour when he pleaded guilty to a charge of deserting from the steamer Mahia at Lyttelton on June 15.
