USE OF LEAGUE GROUND
ALLEGATION FROM CHRISTCHURCH RESENTMENT EXPRESSED IN HUDDERSFIELD (N.Z. Pres* Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 15. The Huddersfield Rugby League strongly refutes an allegation from Christchurch that the Kiwi Rugby touring team last season was not permitted the use of the main Huddersfield ground, says the Press Association. The Huddersfield committee decided to write to the secretary of the English Rugby. Union and also to the Canterbury-• Rugby Union, and the two managers of the English League team at present in Australia. The committee states that no application was made for the use of the Eartown ground.. They consider the Christchurch statement “a libel on Huddersfield sportsmanship.”
