FALSE INCOME TAX RETURNS
' JEWELLER FINED £ 250 (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 14. Admitting four charges of wilfully making false income returns, Arthur Gordon Taylor, a jeweller, was fined a total of £250 in the Magistrate's Court this mornThe prosecution stated that investigdtions revealed dealings in jewellery, currency investments, In house properties and flats, in Government loans, and a share in a yacht and a racehorse, which had since been sold. The defendant claimed that a large part of his available cash came from winnings at races, which added very materially to his financial resources.
