GLENTUNNEL SCHOOL
Sir,—“Parent of Three,” having everything but a bus provided free for his three chicks, now finds fault with the quality of the teaching provided. If he had 13 of a family he would realise what a good, sound, country school education means to growing boys and girls. Glentunnel School holds a high reputation, both past and present, for the quality of education imparted. Its teachers are highly qualified, conscien-. tious men and women. Consolidation does not always spell better quality of teachers. Neither do joy-riding students become tap-notcher scholars. The old adage, “Ship a goose to Spain; ’twill come back a goose again,” whatever school it attended, applies to all schools. Glentunnel School has turned out many highly-qualified men and women, filling high positions in all parts of the country. They walked to school, though—no bus rides.—Yours, etc., EX-SCHOLAR.
