EMPTY CHURCHES

Sir, —Emptiness of churches is frequently referred to in “The Press” correspondence column. One individual in any Church with the desire for the opportunity and inclination to do good to all men, including those that that individual disagrees with, and that church is full, while 50,000 people in any church without that spirit and that church is empty of anything worth while. It is not numbers that count or saying “Lord, Lord.”—Yours, etc., H. J. BUTTLE Darfield, June 6, 1946.
