N.Z.E.F. ASSOCIATION
ATTITUDE TO GOVERNMENT AND R.S.A. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 7. He thought the time opportune to define the relationship between the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association and the Returned Services’ Association, said the president of the former association (Mr H. K.' Heyder) at the quarterly general meeting. Mr Heyder said there could be nothing further from the truth than that the two organisations were in opposition. The 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association stood for vigorous action, but it stood also for co-peration with whatever body was fighting the same battle. The association was non-political, but that did not mean it would take no part in politics. It supported no individual political party. Returned servicemen and women were well qualified to judge the achievements of the present Government, for they could compare results in New Zealand with results and methods overseas. The association would co-operate with the present or any other Government to the full.
