WAR PENSIONS

Sir,—Your grizzling correspondent, “Half-Pensioner,” has definitely got me wrong. I shall not disclose my percentage of disability war pension, but I can tell “Half Pensioner” that I do not get a free railway ticket bn all lines in New Zealand nor free tram rides. My good people, who were always thankful for any courtesy bestowed upon them, taught me to be . likewise. “Half and Half” is fortunate, 7 like myself, not to be totally disabled; , and should also give thanks to Mr Nash even for small mercies. Though things have been tough one sees the silver lining showing through.—Yours, etc ; ” NORTON WRIGHT. ’ ; June 11, 1943.
