ACCIDENTS

THROWN FROM HORSE When he was thrown from a horse yesterday. Mr Robert Henshaw, aged 57 years, a labourer, of Marshland road, fractured both the tibia and fibula of his left leg. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital, where his condition is reported to be satisfactory. MAN SLIPS WHILE LEAVING TRAM Mr Edward Carney, a storeman, of 29 Sullivan avenue, Opawa, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 8.30 p.m yesterday, with a fractured bone in an ankle. It is reported that he slipped while leaving a tram in Ferry road, Woolston. His present condition is satisfactory.
