FURLOUGH FOR MIDDLE EAST SOLDIERS

Sir,—Now that the Tunisian campaign is over, what is going to happen to our boys, especially those of the echelons who enlisted. Most of these men have been through Greece. Crete. Libya (twice), and Tunisia, and quite a few are returned men from the last war. Surely something could be done to -bring these older pen home, after fighting in so many battles. Does, our Prime Minister think these men can go on without a rest? lam sure they would be pleased to get back to their own country. I appeal to wives, mothers, and sweethearts to get together and demand that something should be done for the ones who have been in the Middle East two and three years.—Yours, etc., ANOTHER SOLDIER’S WIFE, j June 4, 1943.
