PAYMENT FOR OVERTIME
The proposal made at the provincial conference of the North Canterbury district of the Farmers’ Union that to avoid the dangers of inflation of the currency, all overtime rates of pay should be made in non-negotiable bonds such as were being issued to woolgrowers for part of last season’s clip, did not come from Mr G. C. Warren, as published on Saturday, but was an amendment put forward by Mr K. W. J. Hall when a remit dealing with the 15 per cent, increase in the price of wool was discussed.
