SOLE BROTHERS' CIRCUS

Sole Brothers’ Circus will begin a seven nights’ season in Christchurch next Saturday, October 8. One of the chief attractions on their programme is George Shields, a tight-wire wizard, whose engagement represents a distinct triumph for the management. This artist is rated as the greatest wirewalker of all time. He turns complete forward and backward somersaults without umbrella or balance pole. The Goldini troupe of aerialists are also star performers. Sole Brothers have a company of performers of the highest rank. These include the Rouleard family of perch balancers, Captain Andrews’ performing lions, lionesses, tigers and leopards; Ossie Delroy, the juggling genius; Cyco and Byco, trick and comedy cyclists; the Eroni boys; and performing animals. The combination includes a firstclass menagerie. The location is Moorhouse avenue.
