CRICKET
BECKENHAM WOMEN’S CLUB
The annual meeting of the Beckenham Women's Cricket Club was held recently. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr S. McAlister; president, Mrs H. Rogers; vice-presidents, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, Messrs E. E. McDougall, H. Rogers, W. Morris, R. B. Harding, E. Murray, H. Irving, F. Pitt, C. Clark, L. Abell, and G. Cope, Mesdames O. A. Young, T. Hughes, J. Sampson, and A. Forsythe: club captain, Miss M. Edwards; secretary and treasurer, Miss C. Stringer; delegates to Canterbury Women’s Cricket Association. Misses C. Cawtheray and C. Strtnger. The McAlister Cup for the best all-round performance was awarded to Miss F. Campbell; and congratulations on gaining the second batting average In the association were extended.
It was decided to open the season to day.
