LANCEWOOD TREES
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir,—l was interested in the photograph in this morning's paper of an outsize in lancewood trees: but I should like to. point out that it is not an unusual sight. Mature lancewood trees grow quite large, and there are several to be seen in various private gardens in and around Christchurch. A particularly fine specimen I have in mind can be seen in Alexandra street, Richmond., nearly opposite Pavitt street.
This particular tree, though mature still carries some leaves of the juvenile form. —Yours, etc., (Mrs) NELLIE STALLARD. September 29, 1938.
