PRICE OF LIME

TO TUB EDITOR Or THS PEESS. Sir, —I notice in your report of the meeting of the North Canterbury executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union that a statement was made which would lead farmers to believe that the minimum price charged in Canterbury for lime is 16s a ton. My company, which supplies MidCanterbury and South Canterbury, charges only 13s a ton, and this price has been maintained for the last two years. I shall be glad if you will kindly publish this statement to correct the wrong impression which would immediately be gathered from the report of the statement made at the above-mentioned meeting.—Yours, etc., M. M. ENTING, Managing Secretary, . The Timaru Lime Co., Ltd.
