METHODIST HARRIER CLUB

The 1938 "season was officially concluded on Saturday night, when the Methodist Harrier Club held its annual banquet in the Jacobean tearooms. The president (Mr A. T>. J?ord) presided, and there was an attendance of more than 60 members and friends.

The following toasts were honoured: —"The King"; "Hosts and Hostesses," Mr C. P. Dixon—Mr A. D. Ford; "The Church," Mr H. J. Le Page—the Rev. Clarence Eaton; "The Centre and Kindred Clubs," Mr C. N. ThorntonMr L. Suckling; "The Club," Mr WE. Turland—Mr A. H. Wayman. The trophies won during the year were presented by Mrs Ford as follows:—Senior championship, T. D. Blewett; junior championship, D. J. Barkman; Bob Thompson handicap cup, E. W. Cock; Derisley Wood challenge cup for the Canterbury crosscountry 'championship, A, g. ffiajTman.
