SOUTH CHRISTCHURCH - - " u CLUB " ANNUAL MEETING HELD The'annual meeting of the South Christchurch Tennis Club-was held in the pavilion On Thursday; The president (Mr M. E. Lyons) presided over an- attendance of 31 members. The' presiderit congratulated the officials on their conduct of club affairs during last season. Although, a building programme had been embarked on during the season, resulting in the erection of an .up-to-date pavilion, the finances of the club showed (a credit, balance of £66 7s 2d. The election (of officers fesulted as fol-lows:-—President, Mr M. E. Lyons; vicepresidents, the Mayor (Mr R. M. Macfarlane), the Hon,- D. G.-Sullivan, Messrs E. J. Howard. M.P., E. Munday. S. C. Ayling, B. Lawrence, H. L- Brewery, W. Outfield, L.Guy, W. Morris, and J. Left; secretary, Mr treasurer, Mr C. Heinz; club captain, Mr A. Bothwell; vicecaptain, Mr P, Cotton; women’s captain, Mrs J, Matthews auditor, Mr G. Burnip; club caretaker/: Mr J, L. Matthews: delegate to ,Sports Protection Association, Mr Adams; .delegates to -Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association; Messrs Adams and Bdthwell; committee, Mesdames \V. Duffleld and/Newton, JMtsses O. Williams and W. Bain, Messrs 3. Crisp, C. Steere, J. Robertson, and D. Wyse. .
