HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS
CHRISTCHURCH BRANCH’S ANNUAL MEETING The fourth annual meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Hamilton High School Old Boys’ Association was held on Wednesday. Major W. E. S. Furby presided over a good attendance. , , ~ The balance-sheet presented by the secretary-treasurer (Mr L. G. Anderson) showed a satisfactory position. Special reference was made in the annual report to the oratory prizes, which were presented to the school by the branch. The contest for the prizes had produced a high standard of oratory. The prizes will be offered again this year. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr C. L. Bacon; secretarytreasurer, Mr C. W. Kent-Johnston; committee, Messrs R. A. Young, R. James, and E. H. Boyce.
