ENGINE-DRIVERS' DISPUTE
COURT TO SETTLE HOURS AND WAGES (PIUSS ASSOCIATION TELEGHASi.) WELLINGTON, September 20. A partial settlement was reached in the adjourned Dominion engine drivers' dispute, which was heard before a Conciliation Commissioner in Wellington to-day. Matters referred to the Court were wages, hours, and holidays. Agreement was reached on overtime for day and shift workers, standby time, travelling time, dirt money, emergency work, and other machinery clauses. Partial agreement was also reached in. hours of work for shift workers.
All requests for exemption were held over for further discussion.
